NVIDIA announced Clara Guardian, an application framework and partner ecosystem that accelerates the development and deployment of smart sensors with multimodal AI anywhere in the hospital.
In healthcare facilities, smart sensors such as AI-enabled cameras and microphones can help improve patient care and public safety while enhancing operational efficiency. NVIDIA Clara Guardian delivers AI-powered video and audio at the edge, enabling organizations to transform themselves into smart hospitals. Edge AI strengthens data privacy while reducing latency and network utilization.
NVIDIA Clara Guardian has the following key components:
- NVIDIA DeepStream SDK and Transfer Learning Toolkit to build and deploy AI-powered, intelligent video analytics apps and services.
- NVIDIA NeMo and NVIDIA Riva to build and deploy conversational AI models for automatic speech recognition (ASR), natural language processing (NLP), and text to speech (TTS).
- NVIDIA EGX Edge AI platform: for secure management of fleets of devices.
The new application framework makes it possible for smart sensors to monitor crowds for safe social distancing, measure fever or absence of protective gear such as masks, or interact remotely with high risk patients so everyone in the healthcare facility is safe and informed.
Clara Guardian also provides a collection of pretrained models and reference applications making it easy to build and deploy robust AI solutions at the edge in hospitals.
Applications and services developed using Clara Guardian can run on a wide range of hardware, from the Jetson Nano to a T4 server, allowing developers to build once and deploy anywhere, from edge to cloud.
