A billboard ad that guesses your age. A photo app that recognizes your face. A digital math aide that solves quadratic equations.
A new post on the NVIDIA corporate blog highlights five startups that are using our GPUs to embrace the deep learning revolution. It’s no surprise. GPU acceleration is ideal for the demands of deep learning algorithms. These algorithms power applications in fields ranging from medical imaging analysis to self-driving cars.
One of the highlighted startups is a company out of the UK, Real Life Analytics. Their trained deep learning neural network will benefit retailers by being able to uniquely target shoppers with in-store ads. The facial recognition software figures out your age and gender in milliseconds and will display a demographically targeted ad. The deep learning network was designed with DIGITS deep learning training software using the cuDNN-accelerated Caffe framework.
