At the 2018 GPU Technology Conference in San Jose on March 26-29, the NVIDIA Inception virtual accelerator program will host a $1 million competition to find this year’s best AI startup across three categories: Healthcare, Autonomous Systems, and Enterprise.
Twelve startups will compete live on stage for the award in front of an audience of international VCs, executives, and media in early March ahead of the main event. Two finalists from each category will be invited to do a final pitch at GTC where the winners will be announced.
To be eligible, startups must be using AI/deep learning, have been founded no earlier than 2015, and have raised no more than $5m in funding. Applications for the Inception Awards closes on February 9th, 2018. Finalists will be selected based on a range of criteria including their innovative application of AI and commercial potential.

Last year’s winner of the Hottest Emerging startup went to Athelas who is using deep learning and machine vision to identify leukemia, infections, inflammations and other conditions in minutes from just a drop of blood.
