Packing an NVIDIA Tegra K1 GPU and a camera, Percepto is developing hardware and software that drones can use to handle computer vision processes such as obstacle avoidance.
Percepto recently closed a $1 million seed round led by top investors to help launch their open source computer vision solution to drone manufacturers, developers, and drone service providers.
The current round of funding will enable them to ship the platform to their Indiegogo campaign backers and then make it accessible for the public. They’ll also be able to hire computer vision engineers that will focus on new computer vision applications that help make drones completely autonomous and perform various commercial tasks.
