The Jetson AGX Xavier production module is now available from distributors globally, joining the Jetson TX2 and TX1 family of products.
Developers can use Jetson AGX Xavier to build autonomous machines that will solve some of the world’s toughest challenges and transform a wide range of industries—including manufacturing, logistics, retail, agriculture, smart cities, healthcare and more.
The NVIDIA Jetson AGX Xavier module delivers up to 32 TOPS of peak compute and 750Gbps of high-speed I/O in a small 100x87mm form factor. This gives developers more than 20X the performance and 10X the energy efficiency of its predecessor, the NVIDIA Jetson TX2.
This advanced system-on-module is powered by the NVIDIA Xavier SoC and designed specifically for autonomous machines. Plus, it comes with integrated memory, storage, power management, and an innovative thermal design to enable faster time to market.
It also supports applications developed with the JetPack and DeepStream software development kits. JetPack includes a board support package (BSP), an Ubuntu Linux OS, NVIDIA CUDA, cuDNN, and TensorRT software libraries for deep learning, computer vision, GPU computing, multimedia processing, and much more.
DeepStream enables streaming analytics, bringing AI to IoT and smart city applications. Developers can build multi-camera and multi-sensor applications to detect and identify objects of interest, such as vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists.
Initial benchmarking results are now available of deep learning inference performance and energy efficiency for Jetson AGX Xavier on networks including ResNet-18 FCN, ResNet-50, VGG19, GoogleNet, and AlexNet using JetPack 4.1.1 Developer Preview software.
Performance and power characteristics will continue to improve over time as NVIDIA releases software updates containing additional features and optimizations for Jetson AGX Xavier.
