Ravi Ramamoorthi

Ravi Ramamoorthi is a rendering research consultant at NVIDIA, and a professor at the University of California, San Diego, where he holds the Ronald L. Graham Chair of Computer Science and is the founding director of the UCSD Center for Visual Computing.
He is an author of nearly 200 refereed publications in computer graphics and vision, including 85 ACM SIGGRAPH/Transactions on Graphics papers. He is a fellow of the IEEE, ACM and SIGGRAPH Academy, and his research has been recognized with numerous awards, including the ACM SIGGRAPH Significant New Researcher Award, and the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers.
He taught the first open online course in computer graphics as one of the first nine classes on the edX platform, and has twice been recognized with the edX prize certificate for exceptional contributions in online teaching and learning.
