Cristiana Dinea is an application engineer at NVIDIA, where she focuses on developing applications for smart hospitals based on NVIDIA Clara Guardian. She is also a PhD student in machine learning at Politehnica University of Timisoara Romania, focusing on the automated segmentation of Ameloblastoma with learned shape priors and level set on panoramic dental X-rays and CBCTs. She holds a M.Sc. and a B.Sc. from Politehnica University of Timisoara. She was awarded “First Prize” at the International Congress of Medicine for Students and Young Doctors in 2010. Prior to joining NVIDIA, she worked on developing and implementing GPU-accelerated algorithms for pedestrian dynamics and massive crowd simulation for Frankfurt Airport.
