Yuyong Zhang

Yuyong Zhang is an accomplished and innovative engineering leader with deep expertise in designing and deploying advanced 4G/5G core and cloud-native network solutions for Tier-1 operators worldwide. He is a recognized expert in 3GPP standards and system architecture, and co-author of seven patents. Yuyong is currently the telecom engineering lead at NVIDIA, driving 5G/6G core evolution and user plane acceleration through NVIDIA technology to enable AI-native, energy-efficient mobile networks. He was previously director of Architecture and Solutions at Axyom.Core (formerly Casa Systems), leading 4G/5G core product and solution architecture, product management, standards, and Tier-1 operator deployments. Earlier, he held senior roles at Benu Networks, Cisco, Movik Networks, and Cedar Point Communications, advancing innovation and product development across wired, wireless, and Wi-Fi technologies.
