Wei Ping is a principal research scientist on the NVIDIA Applied Deep Learning Research team, working on large language models and generative models. Previously, Wei was on the text-to-speech team lead at Baidu Silicon Valley AI Lab (founded by Andrew Ng). He received his PhD in machine learning from University of California, Irvine and is passionate about building state-of-the-art generative models for text, audio and multi-modal data.
