Can Zhao

Can Zhao has been an applied research scientist at NVIDIA focusing on deep learning for medical imaging since 2019. She specializes in deep learning based medical image synthesis. Can received her bachelor's degree from Tsinghua University in 2013, majoring in semiconductor physics. She then shifted her interests to medical imaging. Working with Dr. Jerry Prince, she received her PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Johns Hopkins University in 2021. She served on the organizing committee of MICCAI Simulation and Synthesis in Medical Imaging (SASHIMI) Workshop from 2020 to 2023, and is Session Chair of Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE) Medical Imaging for 2024, and Area Chair of International Conference on Medical Image Computing and Computer-Assisted Intervention (MICCAI) for 2024.
