Balakumar Sundaralingam

Balakumar Sundaralingam (he/him) is currently a senior research scientist in the NVIDIA Research Robotics group led by Dieter Fox. His research interests are in enabling robots to fluidly navigate and interact in unstructured environments. He also has a decade of expertise in building full-stack robotic systems ranging from mobile robots to dexterous manipulation systems. His work on tactile manipulation was a finalist for the Best Manipulation Paper Award at ICRA 2019. He received his Ph.D. in computing (robotics) from the University of Utah under the supervision of Tucker Hermans and his B.Sc. degree in mechatronics from SASTRA University.
