This page contains links and valuable information for obtaining the latest Free Licensed version of NVIDIA's binary PhysX SDK. To review the license agreement which governs the use of all Free Licensed binary PhysX SDK versions, please read the End User License Agreement (EULA).  For information about obtaining source code PhysX SDK's or console versions, email questions to: PhysX Licensing

NOTE: GAMERS, you do NOT need to register to run PhysX games! Everything you need for playing games should be included with the game and your graphics card drivers.  If you feel you are missing a PhysX component, please contact your game’s support channel.

How to access the Binary PhysX SDK

The NVIDIA binary PhysX SDK is 100% free for both commercial and non-commercial use and is available for immediate download by registered PhysX developers. To become a registered PhysX Developer please complete the registration form (steps provided below) on NVIDIA's PhysX Developers Website.

The SDK contains headers, libs, dlls, samples, and documentation, Directions for obtaining access to the binary PhysX SDKs for all supported platforms are provided below:

PhysX SDK for PC (Windows)

Binary PhysX SDK Downloads

The PC Binary PhysX SDK is freely available through our developer support website. You need an account to download the self-contained installer.

To sign up for a new account:

  1. Go to the developer support website
  2. Click on "Sign In" link (top right of page)
  3. Click on "Request a New Account" (NOTE: Requests from gamers will be immediately rejected.  Please see the note at the top of this page)
  4. Complete the application by providing the requested information in all required fields. Be sure to provide complete and accurate information, so your application will be approved quickly. Providing incomplete or inaccurate information will invalidate your account request.

    We strive to approve all application requests within 1-2 business days but due to other workload, it may take longer. We also post status updates on the landing page so be sure to check there. Once an account has been approved, we send an approval notification to the email address provided in the application, so also check your email.

Once approved and you have logged in:

    Click on the Downloads link below the Online Support tab
  1. On the left panel, expand the "Downloads" section
  2. Click on the "PhysX SDK X.X.X" folder link under Downloads
  3. Download the latest PC Core Installer

PhysX SDK for PS3

The binary PhysX PS3 SDK can be downloaded by Sony registered developers on Sony’s Developer Network (PS3.scedev.net).

PhysX SDK for Xbox 360

To obtain access to the binary PhysX Xbox 360 SDK, please send an email to the PhysX Licensing team and provide the email address which can be used to verify your status as an authorized Xbox developer on Xbox Central and indicate your interest in obtaining the binary PhysX Xbox 360 SDK.  Once verified, you will receive an email containing instructions for downloading the SDK on NVIDIA's PhysX Developers Website.

PhysX SDK for Wii

For the binary PhysX Wii SDK, please logon to your WarioWorld account, go to the 3rd-Party Tools Page, click on PhysX by NVIDIA, and verify your NDA status by clicking on the Tool Vendor Verification System button.  The system will send an email that verifies your NDA status to the PhysX Licensing Team and, once received, the team will contact you with directions for downloading the binary PhysX Wii SDK on NVIDIA's PhysX Developers Website.

Source Code SDK

NVIDIA offers Source Code SDKs as an aid to assist developers in debugging their projects and integrating into game engines. Source Code access for each SDK is available for the following platforms:

  • PC
  • Xbox 360
  • PS3
  • Wii

Support Services

NVIDIA also offers a trouble ticket based support programs designed to provide the best possible utilization of the PhysX platform as it pertains to your development needs.   On-site support is also offered to companies participating in the paid support program.
