- PhysX Plug-In for Autodesk 3ds Max
- The plug-in is freely available to all through our developer support website. If you don't already have an account, you will need to create one to download the self-contained plug-in installer.
- To sign up for a new account:
- Go to the developer support website
- Click on "Sign In" link (top right of page)
- Click on "Request a New Account"
- Fill out all the required fields and wait for happy NVIDIA elves to approve your account
- Once approved and logged in:
- Click on the Online Support tab
- Click on the Downloads link below that tab
- On the left side, expand the "Downloads" section
- Click on the "Plug-ins" folder link under the Downloads section
- Download the 2.01 installer (either x64 or x86)
- PhysX Plug-In for Autodesk Maya
- PhysX Plug-In for Autodesk Softimage: The PhysX plug-in for Softimage is built-in. There is no need to download any additional content.
Overview
The NVIDIA PhysX plug-ins for Autodesk 3ds Max, Autodesk Maya, and Autodesk Softimage allow users of these DCC applications to easily create and manipulate physics simulations.
The plug-ins support a wide range of features such as:
- Rigid bodies
- Constraint specification
- Cloth
- Fluids
- Soft bodies
- Force fields
- Exporting
- Numerous sample projects
We encourage you to start by reading through the accompanying User Guides and trying out some of the sample projects.
