Professor Eric Darve serves as a faculty member in the Mechanical Engineering department at Stanford University. His research encompasses a broad range of topics including machine learning in engineering, anomaly detection, unsupervised learning, graph neural networks, surrogate modeling, numerical linear algebra, and high-performance computing. He earned his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Pierre et Marie Curie University in Paris, mentored by Professor Olivier Pironneau. Prior to that, he studied Mathematics and Computer Science at the École Normale Supérieure. Since joining the Stanford community in 2001, Professor Darve has received multiple awards and is an active member of the Institute for Computational and Mathematical Engineering.
