Use the information in this section to understand mNAND utilities and usage.

NAND Background Operations (BKOPS)

The DriveOS SDK does not support starting and monitoring of the background operations (BKOPS) through mNAND API.

To perform and manage the background operation, MMC driver relies on device firmware to handle background operations.

While performing the BKOPS, the device stays in a busy state until handling of background operation is no longer required. There may be delays in the read/write operations while the device is performing background operations. These delay details depend on the vendor specific implementations and may vary between different vendors.
