Nikolaus Adams

Professor Dr. Nikolaus Adams is a full professor and the chair of aerodynamics and fluid mechanics at TUM. In addition, he serves as the executive director of the Munich Institute of Integrated Materials, Energy, and Process Engineering (MEP) at TUM. His research is at the forefront of fluid mechanics, where he specializes in developing high-resolution numerical methods for both incompressible and compressible single- and multi-phase flow problems. His work also pioneers the integration of cutting-edge ML algorithms within the field of fluid dynamics. Prof. Adams' contributions to the field have been recognized with two prestigious ERC Advanced Grants enabling innovative research on manufacturing shock interactions for nanoscale processes and the generative modeling of ultrafast fluid dynamics.
