Hesam Salehipour

Hesam Salehipour is a senior principal research scientist at Autodesk Research with a deep interest in computational fluid dynamics, PDE-constraint optimization, reduced order modelling and physics-based machine learning. He obtained his PhD in Physics from the University of Toronto after finishing his MSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts. Hesam’s past academic research projects range from high-fidelity simulation of geophysical turbulence to low-fidelity modelling of bio-inspired flying vehicles, from developing massively parallel physics solvers to integrating deep neural networks with simulation data.
