Anirban Chandra

Anirban Chandra is an AI resident at Shell based in Shell Techworks, Boston. He broadly focuses on the domain of AI for Science, particularly in materials discovery and surrogate models for partial differential equations. Previously, he worked at Argonne National Laboratory as a computational scientist and postdoctoral researcher, using reinforcement learning for materials discovery and design. He has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he developed novel multi-scale numerical methods for liquid vapor phase change processes associated with thermal management systems. Anirban has co-authored several journal publications, patents, and conference proceedings in the field of computational energy sciences.
