APEX Clothing Tutorial: Trench Coat
This tutorial explains how to simulate a trench coat that has thickness to it. Thick cloth is made up of two surfaces, and inner and an outer that together form thick cloth. This is referred to as the Latch to Nearest feature in Apex. You will learn about Latch to Nearest and more about the various clothing attributes on top of reviewing Max Distance and Ragdoll authoring.(Tutorial files)
Prerequisite: Waving Flag Tutorial, Knowledge of bone hierarchies, skinning envelopes, and basic timeline navigation.

Prerequisite: Trench Coat Medium Tutorial, Knowledge of UE3. Maya 2.6 clothing plug-in and at least the 2011 October release of UE3 (APEX 1.0). Note: The 2.7 Maya clothing plug-in (APEX 1.1) won't work with the Unreal 3 (October release).



Is there a tutorial file users can load into Maya to test functionality? The boards reference one but I am unable to locate it.

APEX Clothing currently does not support baking. We will be providing support for this in the next quarter.
