PM Server#
The Power Management Server (PM Server) is responsible for coordinating system-level and VM-level power transitions during operating point changes. It acts as the central controller for enforcing policies and ensuring all components move to the correct power state. Monitors system for coldboot, suspend, resume, and shutdown.
Key Responsibilities#
- Coordinate Power State changes across SoC
PM Server facilitates SoC OP transitions when requested and monitors for failures during the transition.
- Policy Enforcement
Ensures SoC OP transitions comply with defined power modes/SoC OP definitions.
- Error detection and error reporting
Detects failures during transitions and coordinates with LCM Server.
