Recovery Mechanism Boot Chains

The recovery mechanism maintains up to three boot chains:

• Boot Chain A
• Boot Chain B
• Boot Chain C

One bootchain is active at any given time.

• The active boot chain is referred to as: Active Boot Chain.
• The inactive boot chains are referred to as: Inactive Boot Chain.
