Today at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, NVIDIA rolled out a new program that makes it simple for developers to publish their games on NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW game-streaming service and reach a new generation of gamers.

NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW service expands the market for PC games by reaching a growing segment of gamers that are addicted to the convenience of streaming. Our new GeForce NOW Developer Program provides an easy way for you to take advantage of this new market by instantly streaming your games directly into broadband-connected living rooms around the world.

“We jumped on the GeForce NOW platform to make our games available for easy streaming. The Developer Program keeps things simple, and lets us publish our games in the cloud in just a few steps.”

Lauri Hyvärinen, CEO at Frozenbyte

Program Benefits

As a Registered GeForce NOW developer, you will get access to a self-service web portal that gives you the ability to upload your PC games, as well as manage descriptions and image assets to promote your game on the service. In addition, you will get a free SHIELD development platform to test your games on GeForce NOW. Finally, when your game goes live, it will be promoted on GeForce NOW and marketed on NVIDIA channels.

Two Ways to Monetize

There are two ways to monetize your game on GeForce NOW. First, your game can be listed for sale in the game store with industry-standard revenue-sharing terms and you can set the price. Second, you can add your games to the membership library and receive variable pay based on monthly play hours.

Games that are less than a year old tend to perform better in the game store and games that are more than a year old tend to perform better in the membership library, but the choice is up to you.

Get Started

Registration is a simple, three-step process and is open to all developers.

  • Step 1: fill out your application for the Developer Program.
  • Step 2: submit your PC game with gamepad support to NVIDIA for testing.
  • Step 3: get your game approved and publish your game.
