Thanks for coming out to E3 this year and showing your support for all the Indie titles that were shown off at the IndieCade@E3 Festival. We had an amazing time and look forward to seeing you all next year!

We showed off some great games, like Super Meat Boy, Contrast, Super Mega Baseball, and Ultimate Chicken Horse. All playable on NVIDIA SHIELD! The folks at IndieCade were ecstatic over our participation this year and we were astounded by the response to NVIDIA SHIELD.

NVIDIA recently launched our Pascal architecture with the GeForce GTX 1080 and 1070 GPUs. Pascal introduces a couple of new technologies aimed specifically at improving the Virtual Reality experience (VR). Single Pass Stereo addresses the geometry end of the pipeline, allowing both views of a stereo scene to be efficiently rendered in a single pass.

Games often precompute ambient occlusion (AO) or other static lighting and bake out the results into vertex or texture data that is loaded into OpenGL or DirectX shaders later. Raytracing is the core computation of such a baking pipeline. However, writing a production-quality GPU ray tracer from scratch takes a fair amount of time and expertise.
