Getting Started With the NVIDIA DriveWorks SDK

Hardware Requirements

Please see the "NVIDIA DRIVE OS NGC Docker Container Installation Guide", "NVIDIA DRIVE OS Debian Package Installation Guide", "DRIVE Platform Installation Guide with NVIDIA SDK Manager," or "DRIVE OS Installation Guide for NVIDIA Developer" for the latest hardware requirements of the NVIDIA® DRIVE® OS and the NVIDIA DriveWorks SDK.

Note
An NVIDIA graphics card is required for running the NVIDIA DriveWorks SDK sample applications on a host system Linux x86, but not if the host system is used solely to flash the NVIDIA DRIVE OS onto a target system Linux or QNX aarch64.

Installing Core and Sample Binaries and Compiling or Cross-Compiling Samples From Source

Depending on how you installed the NVIDIA DRIVE OS, there are three methods for installing and running the NVIDIA DriveWorks SDK core binaries, its sample application binaries, and compiling or cross-compiling the sample applications from source:

Warning
Building the NVIDIA DriveWorks SDK as a Yocto Project® based component is not supported. Please use one of the above three methods to install NVIDIA DRIVE OS and the NVIDIA DriveWorks SDK instead.

Verification of the File System Layout

For instructions on verifying the file system layout on an existing NVIDIA DriveWorks SDK installation, please see Verifying the NVIDIA DriveWorks SDK Installation.
