GDC 2013 Sponsored Sessions

1:00 pm - 2:00 pm : Porting Source to Linux: Valve's Lessons Learned
In spite of what some famous non-game-developers think, NVIDIA loves Linux, and we want to see the game development community succeed with it. What better way to start than to listen and learn from what the trailblazers at Valve Software learned when they ported the Source Engine to Linux? Rich and John will specifically focus on the transition developers make when moving from Direct3D to the OpenGL API, including discussions about key differences, OS issues and pitfalls, tools, and licensing.
