Softimage|XSI 2.0 launches with support for NVIDIA Shading technology

The QuadroDCC, combined with the SOFTIMAGE|XSI Real Time Shader architecture, provides a fantastic environment for game artists and developers to create and fine-tune sophisticated shader effects for display on today's interactive and gaming platforms. We encourage you to look at the slick implementation, and the nvMeta shader in particular!

Titanium Series Launched!

The GeForce3 architecture has gone mainstream, with the release of the Titanium Series. In particular, the sub-$199 GeForce 3 Ti 200 brings our nfiniteFX technology to the masses, through Microsoft's DirectX® and OpenGL APIs. NVIDIA is well on track to deliver an installed base of upwards of 5 million GeForce3-based GPUs, featuring NVIDIA’s GeForce Shader Technology by Holiday 2001. The combination of GeForce3, Xbox, and the GeForce Titanium Series provides a fantastic opportunity for you to raise the bar in visual quality.

Let us help you get there with the shaders, tools and source code provided on this site through our NVSDK.

For more information see our press release and product page.

Welcome to NVIDIA's newly redesigned Developer Relations Site!

We hope that the changes made to the look and feel of our site help you, our developers, in your pursuit of the ever advancing cutting-edge in graphics technology. Changes across the infrastructure of our site should make it easier for you to find content, as well as for NVIDIA to deliver updates more rapidly. Navigation menus across the top of the page, in the silver column, will bring you to our major sections, like the NVSDK.

For registered developers, we have also re-engineered that site, and it is currently back online. Login in through the link on the upper left. For more information about that site, or if you have problems logging on...

As you know, graphics processors are evolving at an incredible pace. Today, real-time rendered scenes and effects are possible that could only be rendered off-line in the past. We strive to make it as easy as possible for developers to adopt new processor technologies and create the most dazzling, eye-popping interactive graphics the world has ever seen! Let this site be your guide.

We're constantly adding new content, including demos and source code to keep you up to speed with the latest developments in real-time 3D. It is our hope that this site serves as a rewarding resource for graphics developers and enthusiastic programmers.

Our latest updates are listed in the left column, and highlighted material in the right column.

NVSDK 5.1
OpenGL, Audio, 3D Stereo Updates

NVIDIA is proud to release the NVSDK5.1, an upgrade to the major components of the developer's toolkit. Particularly important advancements in the OpenGL SDK bring effects such as vertex program refraction, detail normal maps, procedural texturing with dynamic normal maps, and updates to nvparse, along with a wealth of up-to-date documentation. We are also excited to release the beginnings of an Audio SDK, which will continue to expand in anticipation of our nForce products. Developers will also find it quite useful to consult our documentation on development for 3D Stereo viewing.
