Downloading the Accompanying Software

The latest version of the software that accompanies The Cg Tutorial is available here.

We are pleased to announce that the Linux build of the examples is now available, at the bottom of the page.

In addition, you can download the latest version of the Cg Toolkit.

Troubleshooting

If you are having problems with the accompanying software, please try the following suggestions:

• If you have an NVIDIA graphics card, make sure you have recent drivers installed. There are working drivers included on the book's CD. You can also get the most recent drivers.


• If you don't have an NVIDIA graphics card, please download the latest drivers from your card vendor's Web site.


• For optimal performance and flexibility, you should run the software on a DirectX 9-capable GPU, such as a member of the GeForce FX or Quadro FX families.


• Try downloading the updated version of the book's accompanying software from below.


• Try downloading and installing the latest version of the Cg Toolkit, available here.


• If you've tried all these and are still having problems, please send e-mail cgsupport@nvidia.com and we'll be happy to help you out.
