Mike & Luna: Even More Secrets from the NVIDIA Demo Team
Randima (Randy) Fernando

The GeForce 7 Series architecture (also known as G70) pushes the envelope of cinematic graphics further than ever before. NVIDIA's internal demo team is tasked with showing off what the latest hardware can do, and their two latest demos do exactly that. This talk explains how Mad Mod Mike and Luna both make extensive use of advanced lighting models, materials, animation, hair rendering, and more to create compelling demos that run in real-time. The second part of the talk describes next-generation special effects: a collection of useful techniques for raising the visual bar of your applications.

Shader Integration
Bryan Dudash

In the past few years, there has been a growing emphasis on shaders and programmability as GPU have become more powerful and flexible.  This talk gives an overview of the current shader landscape and explains how to add shader support to your applications so that you will be able to make use of your own shaders as well as the wide selection of shaders already in the public domain.  In addition, attendees will learn how to handle common shader integration challenges, fallback techniques, and advanced shader techniques.
