Regarding the 3rd party patches for the OptiX interactive samples that enable operation on NVIDIA GeForce products -
OptiX 1.0.0 did not enable operation on GeForce because we have not certified its operation on these products yet, and so cannot properly support them. These modified versions may very well operate properly on many GeForce products - it's just not something we have either verified or can stand behind. As mentioned on the OptiX home page, the next major OptiX release will support GeForce products - it's just going to take us a bit of time to verify operation on the myriad GeForce product variations. With so much interest in OptiX, we just didn’t want to delay its availability. - Phil |
